Eva Garis is a Spanish acrylic and digital painter who has been living in the thriving capital of Wales, since 2020.

Originally from Alicante, was born between the palm tree flanked boulevards of Elche and was raised by a big and hard working family with singers, writers, painters and sculptors.
She moved to Ireland for four years in 2009 to improve her English skills and looking for adventures on the Emerald Isle. Once in Dublin she fell in love with the sound of the streets and started to feel drawn to its art and culture.Eva left with an Irish passport in her heart and a burning desire to understand more about herself, look at her life’s picture from a new perspective and brighter lights
Se painted her first acrylic painting in Malta, that she threw in the dumpster the day she left the Island. Days later a neighbour confessed to have found it and hung it back on the wall.
She started to develop her colourful, vibrant, passionate style during the melancholic, cold nights of the long winters of her new home, Oslo. Daughter of the painter Carmen Garis, arts came in an unexperienced way, easy and naturally.
Garis has done two art exhibitions in Oslo in 2019 and another two in her homeland. One individually in Casino Mediterraneo of Benidorm and a collective one when her work was selected for The Working Women’s Day and her piece was presented in The Council Palace of Alicante.
During the lockdown In Spain in 2020 Eva was trapped between countries and loves. It was when painting became a real addiction and such an ambition. Attracted by anatomy, nature and the personalities she meets on her way she often captures her current mood, worries or joys in each painting she gets inspired to.
She moved to United Kingdom to do Art and Design. She has made Wales her new home. She illustrated the book Los Otros Down, written by Ely Meyv, a painful novel in which the protagonists are down syndrome kids ready to teach us kindness and what unconditional love means. Currently she is involved in other environmental issues and women rights art projects donating 50% of her art to these causes.
